Our Story

The Scottish Goats Milk Soap Company is based in Fife where all our soaps are made. 

The business was formed after Gillian met Alan when her daughter (a qualified vet nurse) began helping out on one of Alan’s farms after finishing her degree, whilst looking for a job.

Having spent time around the farm with the goats and sheep and speaking to Alan about the problems her son was having with eczema on his hands and arms, Alan suggested she try goats milk soap.

After virtually no time at all Sam’s skin was entirely cleared up and so Gillian and Alan then discussed the possibility of making their own goats milk soap.

After some time of trying various combinations and adding different essential oils, we created formulas that worked for us and that we love!

We decided we wanted to share the benefits of goats milk soap with others and so the Scottish Goats Milk Soap Company came to be.

Our soaps are natural and ethical.

All of our products are free of parabens, palm oil and artificial fragrances. Our products and all of their ingredients are cruelty free.

Our packaging is eco-friendly, our mailing boxes are made in the UK from 100% recycled card. They are made by a company who pride themselves in their ecological and ethical impact on the planet, from production to disposal and their products are made using materials sourced from the UK and EU only. They never import from anywhere else in the world. All the boxes are fully recyclable. No glue is used in the assembly of the boxes.

Choosing recycled products is a positive step towards helping to conserve the Earth's natural resources and reduce the amount of waste which would otherwise go to landfill.
Recycling paper can also reduce the energy required in production by up to 50%, with similar effects on pollution and carbon dioxide emissions. Recycling also reduces water usage by up to 50% and involves fewer chemical processes. The recycling paper industry is led by consumer demand so the more we use, the more the mills will produce.
